Russell Simmons is teaming up with financial
guru Suze Orman, Eminem and Fantasia
for a six-city tour called “Get Your Money Right.”
The aim is to teach young people essential financial tools
such as basic banking, managing assets, understanding and
fixing credit scores, home ownership and auto financing.
Emmanuel Lewis was stopped by police for
speeding. However, the officer let him off with a warning
after recognizing him, getting his autograph and posing for
a picture. The cop was reprimanded for not issuing Lewis a
speeding ticket.
Executives at other networks are saying Paula Abdul’s
career with American Idol is over. She cast suspicion on the
show and by leaving the messages with Corey was like writing
her own obituary. They say that Fox is secretly searching
for another judge some of the names that have been posted
on message boards are Janet Jackson, Courtney
Love and Debbie Gibson. Also rumors
of another affair between a contestant and a producer on the
show that was lost in the shuffle of the Corey Clark
affair. Kimberly Locke reportedly had a romance
with producer Simon Lythgoe. When reached
for comment Kimberly had this to say that any affair that
she had took place after the show was over.
P. Diddy has launched Bad Boy Latino Records
with Pitbull. Pit will sign artists, handle
the marketing and help run the label. The label will release
Latin Hip-Hop, Soul and Tropical music.
In related news P Diddy's chartered private
jet was forced to make an emergency landing after it was struck
by lightning. The 34-year-old rap mogul was heading to a business
meeting in Miami when the incident occurred, reports the New
York Post. No-one was injured, but the pilot was forced to
make an emergency landing in Palm Beach. However, Combs made
it in style to the event where he gave a speech about building
his Sean Jean fashion empire arriving in a silver Rolls Royce
Phantom.

Former Dawson's Creek actress Katie Holmes
has told a US magazine she isn't as sweet as some people think
she is. Holmes, 26, appears keen to dismiss her good girl
image in the interview which comes amid speculation over her
relationship with 42-year-old Tom Cruise. "I'm not as
sweet as you think I am. I'm human," Katie, dubbed Hollywood's
"mild child" tells Giant magazine in the interview
carried out before news broke of her relationship with the
Mission Impossible star.
Rapper Ludacris wants to be taken seriously
in his acting roles. He wants fans to differentiate between
him as a musician and as an actor. "I don't want anyone
to look at me as Ludacris in the films," he said, so
much so that he’s going by his birth name Chris
Bridges when acting.
Elle Macpherson has laughed off rumors linking
her to Colin Farrell. Reports suggested the
pair recently shared drinks at a resort in the Bahamas. But
the 42-year-old seemed shocked by the claim: "What? He's
28 years old and I have two kids. I haven't heard that rumor,
it's interesting." According to ITV.com Macpherson said
she had met the "beautiful young Irish boy" while
in the Bahamas. She added: "Now the poor guy is thinking
`I'm being connected to that old bag'".
50 Cent's G-Unit creating a series of games
with mobile media company Zingy based on G-Unit artists including
50, Tony Yayo and Young Buck.
Matt Damon has agreed to play Marco Polo
in a new film. Willam Monahan - who wrote Kingdom of Heaven
- will write the screenplay reports Contactmusic.com. The
film will follow the explorer's 24-year trek into Asia and
his meetings with Kublai Khan, who was once the richest man
on earth.
Solo star Gwen Stefani has slammed internet
rumors claiming her fabulous head of platinum locks is actually
a wig - she accuses online rumor-mongers of confusing her
with singer-turned-actress Cher. The What You Waiting For
beauty is dismayed anyone could think her hair is synthetic
because she spends hours in hair salons to keep every strand
in top condition. She says, "It's all my own hair and
it costs me thousands to maintain it. I'm not Cher
you know!"
John Lennon's killer Mark David Chapman is
preparing to discuss the rock legend's death on TV for the
first time, as part of an upcoming British documentary. Channel
4 bosses have requested a meeting with Chapman in New York's
Attica Prison for a film to mark the 25th anniversary of the
Imagine icon's tragic demise. The one-off special, I Killed
John Lennon, will also feature audio footage of an interview
Chapman, now 50, gave journalist Jack Jones. |
