Prince has launched his new nightclub, 3121 inside of the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas . Prince plans to perform Friday and Saturday nights for the high roller crowd, with the 900 tickets going for $125 apiece.

Jay-Z and Jamie Foxx are among the artists who have joined the lineup for this year's American Music Awards, set to air live November 21st on ABC. Also on the bill are Snoop Dogg, Akon and Lionel Richie.

 Gerald Levert died last week after suffering a fatal heart attack while sleeping in his hometown of Newbury , Ohio . Gerald, also known as “G-Bear” was only 40-years-old. He was working on a reality TV show that featured him losing weight along with 12 of his female fans, who lived and trained with him for 30 days.

OutKasts Big Boi is also currently shooting a new movie, titled Who's Your Caddy?, with Cedric the Entertainer, Faizon Love, Andy Milonakis and Finesse Mitchell. The film is about a music mogul who tries to play golf in an exclusive golf community.

The Borat movie has been banned in Russia because the film pokes fun at Kazakhstan . The film stars Sacha Baron Cohen as a spoof reporter on a trip to the US . Russia 's culture ministry say they will not provide a distribution license for the movie because the film could potentially humiliate different ethnic groups and religions. Some reviewers have described it as "hysterical" and "the funniest film of the year" while others have called the film deeply offensive.

The new Bond film has taken more on its first day of release than any previous 007 film. Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig, sold £1.7m of tickets in the UK on Thursday, says Columbia Pictures. The figure is double the amount made by 2002's Die Another Day on its first day. The movie is an adaptation of Ian Fleming's first Bond novel, reports the BBC. It opens in 27 countries, including the US and Russia , this weekend.

The Wu-Tang Clan and Ol' Dirty Bastard's Brooklyn Zu crew held a memorial for the rapper on November 15th in honor of what would have been Ol Dirty Bastard's 38th birthday (November 13th). Allhiphop.com reports that the event, which was held at the Canal Room in New York City , included performances by Inspectah Deck, Shyheim, Killarmy, Chi-King, W. Gleamz and UNI.

Michael Jackson made an appearance at the World Music Awards in London , which honored him with an award commemorating the 25th anniversary of his mega-hit 1982 album Thriller.

T.I. and Jermaine Dupri were among the big winners at the first annual BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta . Grandmaster Flash received BET’s first, “I Am Hip-Hop” Icon Award.
