Where and what is the IE?
The IE, otherwise known as the Inland Empire is 45 minutes East of Los Angeles, it’s the 2 biggest counties in the nation, San Bernardino and Riverside.
Where do you and the IE tie in?
I grew up in the IE and put a lot of the blueprint on how to hustle and grind, so I am the IE.
Tell me about Homeless nation, where did the name come from?
The name Homeless came about because we never felt part of any one society, we were outcasts. I’m the general for Homeless Nation. Homeless nation is a movement, it’s a way of life, it’s a religion, and it’s a style of music.
How many artists are on homeless records?
We have 7 artists; Diamonique, Gambit, Jwalq, Fingers, Yun A, Sage, Duke, also I can’t forget my DJ Mix Master KD
How long have you been rapping and putting out music?
I’ve been rapping since I was 13 and I’m putting out albums since 97, I have 50,000 units in the streets of the Inland Empire and that’s why my buzz is so big.
How would you describe your style?
Raw and uncut
Tell me about your musical inspirations?
My musical inspirations are my life. My form of escape. If I’m happy, if I’m stressed out about a situation, it all goes into my music.
You currently have a track burning up the airwaves, tell us about that My current track “What a Rush” featuring Kokane, has been hitting the airwaves and the streets. Feli Fel of Power 106 is really feeling the track, being one of the hottest West Coast DJ’s when he plays a track everybody follows suit.
Ok there are numerous rumors flying around, apparently Gunit, Rocafella, Aftermath and Nelly’s Dirty Entertainment all have an interest in you, fill us in
The rumors are true, I have a meeting with Rocafella and GUnit in New York in the next couple of days, my manager Korran has been talking to folks at Aftermath and my co manger is Tony Davis who is Nelly’s manager.
Which label are you leaning more towards?
Whichever label wants to help my vision come to life and nurture my creativity.
What is your vision?
My vision is to get established as an artist and get my label Homeless Records established.
What Producers are you currently working with?
I’m currently working with Fingers, my in-house producer; I’m also about to do some cuts with Red Spider
Are you currently working on any features right now?
Yes, I’m about to do a feature with a young lady by the name of Penelope, she’s out of St Louis, and Tubby Holiday her manager is putting that together.
Do you have an album in the works?
Yes, I’m currently finishing my “Love Me or Hate Me” album, due to come out late fall.
